Who is the Voice of Mickey Mouse?

We loved watching Micky Mouse and the clubhouse series as children. This cartoon series is a favorite of all. Only three famous voice actors were able to portray Mickey Mouse’s character between 1929 and 2009. Legendary Hollywood actor  Walt Disney is the first voice of the Mickey cartoon character in 1929. Jimmy MacDonald became the second voice of Mickey after that actor. For thirty-two years, Mickey was third-voiced starting in 1983. Bret Iwan became the official fourth voice of Mickey after that actor. Finally, in 2013, actor Chris Diamantopolous become the fifth voice for the eponymous Mickey Mouse television show.

Canadian actor Chris Diamantopoulos Born May 9, 1975. He played the character Russ Hanneman in the HBO  series Silicon Valley and starred in  The Three Stooges movie and the Good Girls Revolt series. He is the official voice of Mickey Mouse in the eponymous television series The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse (2020) and The Wonderful Winter of Mickey Mouse (2022). Chris began his career in theatre and television commercials at the age of nine. After turning 18 he moved to America to take part in a series national tours. He worked on Broadway series, where he played leading parts in The Full Monty movie in 2002 and Les Miserables movie in 2003. He graduated from East York Collegiate Institute.

Legendary actor Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901, and died on December 15, 1966. he was an American animator, film producer, and director. He is the most prominent face in the history of the production of cartoon characters.  Chris holds the record for the most Academy Awards and nominations earned by an individual. He has won twenty-two Oscars, from 49 nominations. Chris was presented with two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards, and an Emmy Award. His many movies are now part of the Library of Congress National Film Registry department. 

2 . Wayne Allwine

Actor Wayne Anthony Allwine was born on February 7, 1947, and died on May 18, 2009. He was an American voice actor, sound effects editor and producer. He is Mickey Mouse’s third official voice actor. He is the longest-serving actor to have voiced the character for over thirty-two years. He was married to Russi Taylor, who is the voice actor for many cartoon series. 

3. Bret William Iwan

Actor Bret William Iwan was born on September 10, 1982. He is an American voice actor, and illustrator. He was the fourth official voice actor for Mickey Mouse in the official cartoon series. Iwan died on May 18, 2009. Iwan first recorded Mickey Mouse dialogue for Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and 2009 shows Disney On Ice: Celebrations and Disney Live: Rockin’ Road Show tv show. He voiced Mickey Mouse in Have a laugh series. 

4. Les Perkins

Actor Les Perkins is an American film editor, director, producer, writer, sound editor, voice actor, and Disney archivist who was mainly involved with particular on many Disney shows. Lee provided the voices of Mickey Mouse in the DTV television specials “DTV Valentine” series and “DTV ‘Doggone’ Valentine” series and Down and Out with Donald Duck in the mid-1980s and provided the voice of J.Thaddeus Toad in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

5. Chris Diamantopoulos

Chris Diamantopoulos is Mickey Mouse’s fifth voice actor. He played the character Robin Williams in Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Mork & Mindy alongside Canadian actress Erinn Hayes. He has appeared as a guest star in several series including Charmed and The Sopranos, Nip/Tuck and Boston Legal. He was the interior decorator in The Starter Wife miniseries.

His outfit includes red shorts, large yellow shoes and white gloves. Character Mickey was suggested by Walt Disney’s wife Actress Lillian in 1928. Another character  Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey first appeared in the short Plane Crazy,  debuting publicly in the film Steamboat Willie movie in 1928, one of the first sound cartoons. He appeared in over 130 films.  Mickey’s character was mostly seen in short films, but occasionally he appeared in feature-length films.
