Pete Edochie, a Nigerian actor, is one of Africa’s most gifted actors. He was awarded the Africa Magic Industry Merit Award and the Africa Film Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also a veteran broadcaster and administrator. After he played the role of Okonkwo in the adaptation to the novel Things Fall Apart, he became a popular actor in the 1980s.

There were rumors that Pete Edochie, a Nigerian actor, had died after falling off a mountain. This rumour is false. He is still alive. According to rumours he died early in the morning while filming a movie. He is still living. This rumour began in 2013 and has continued to this day. Austrian police claimed that he fell more then 50 feet, but he survived. He was not hurt. He is fine.

Pete Edochie has been married to Josephine Edochie for six years. Josephine is a lawyer. She has also been a broadcaster. Peter Edochie hails from Anambra and went to the School of Journalism and Television. When he celebrated his 70th birthday in 2017, he said, “Taking life easy and planning purposefully for everything makes life worth living as well as ageing gracefully.”

Pete Edochie Children 

Pete Edochie is married to Josephine and they have six children together: Leo Edochie (Eva Edochie), Linc Edochie Gene Edochie Eche Edochie and Gene Edochie. He and other actors were banned from acting on films in 2005 due to the high prices they were charging. Many thought that this would end the Nigerian film industry. They are all currently working, however. He was kidnapped in 2009 and later freed by his captors.
