According to an official survey, The Monkees are one of America’s most well-known 60s rock bands. Singer Micky Dolenz, is still living. American Singer George Micky Dolenz Jr. is born March 8, 1945. George is an American actor and musician. George is well-known as the drummer and vocalist for the 1960s Pop rock Monkees band. He was also a star of the 1966 TV series The Monkees. After the death of singer Michael Nesmith in 2021, Dolenz became the band’s sole surviving member. Micky was born at Cedars primary Lebanon Hospital, Los Angeles, California. He is the son of actor George Dolenz, and Janelle Johnson. He has three siblings, Gemma Marie Deborah, Kathleen, and Kathleen.

1. Davy Jones
American singer David Thomas Jones was created on 30 December 1945. He died on 29 Feb 2012. He was an actor and singer from the United Kingdom. Jones, a member and co-star of The Monkees TV series in 1966, was a teen idol. Jones’ great work on The Monkees TV Show earned him a Tony-nominated performance in The Artful Dodger, the original London and Broadway productions. Jones also played a key role in The Brady Bunch television series.
2. Michael Nesmith
Robert Michael Nesmith, a singer, was born December 30, 1942 and died December 10, 2021. He was an American musician and songwriter, actor, producer, and producer. He was a member the Monkees’ pop-rock band and an actor on the TV series The Monkees, 1966-1968. He is best known for his songwriting skills, including the Different Drum song that became a hit in the movie Linda Ronstadt as well as the Stone Poneys tv series. After the Monkees split, Nesmith continued to be a successful singer and songwriter. He was first in the seminal band First National Band, which he had a top-40 Joanne song with, and then as a solo artist. With the Monkees, he often played a Gretsch 12-string electric.

Peter Halsten Thorkelson, singer, was born on February 13, 1942. He died on February 21, 2019. American musician, composer and actor, he was best known for his work as a keyboardist and bass guitarist with the Monkees and was a co-star in the 1966 series. Tork was born in Connecticut, and grew up as part of the Greenwich Village Folk Scene in New York City. He began working with Stephen Stills in 1966. When he and Stills moved to Los Angeles, Tork was recruited for The Monkees, a musical television sitcom. He was a teen icon because of the show’s success from 1966 to 1968.
