Alec Bohm from America is a professional third baseman in baseball. He plays for Major League Baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies. Alec Daniel Bohm is Alec Daniel Bohm. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up there. Alec Bohm was a standout at Roncalli High School as a hitter. However, he was not selected for the 2015 MLB Draft.

Alec Bohm: What happened?

Alec Bohm sustained injuries to his left ring finger after sliding headfirst into second base during the second inning of a 6-1 loss against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium. It brought the Cards and Phils back to a tie for third NL Wild Card spot. Alec Bohm bent his left hand, sliding into the bag. His left pinky was visible when he looked up.  “It’s broken,” he told Phillies first-base coach Paco Figueroa at the time. 

Alec Bohm Injury

Alec Bohm, the famous star of baseball, sustained a serious injury to his left hand but was able to escape with a major hand injury. While diving into the second base, his left ring finger was dislocated. He attempted to stretch a single into two in the second inning. When he was hurt, the cameras recorded the scene. Due to his pain, he was temporarily forced to leave the game. He held his right hand very close against the body.  However, X-rays confirmed that his left hand was still intact. Two Phillies players have broken bones in their hands and are currently on the team’s injured list. They are Jean Segura, and Bryce Harper.

Alec Bohm Age

Alec Bohm was conceived in Omaha, Nebraska on 3 August 1996. He is currently 25 years of age. He is the child of Dan and Lisa Bohm.  Alec was a powerful hitter for Roncalli Catholic’s Omaha baseball team when he was in high school. Alec Bohm participated in the All-Star Futures Game 2019. After the pandemic, he began the 2020 season at an alternative training site. Alec Bohm was removed from the training facility by the Phillies in August. He completed the season as an everyday baseman. 

Alec Bohm’s Career

Alec Bohm played college summer baseball in the Coastal Plain League as well as the Cape Cod Baseball League. Alec was chosen by the Phillies third in the 2018 MLB draft. He signed with the Phillies in June 2018. The Phillies wanted Alec to reach Class A by the close of 2018. However, it was delayed because of a knee injury. Alec Bohm tried for Nebraska to continue college but was not selected by Nebraska Cornhuskers. He accepted a scholarship to play college baseball for the Wichita State Shockers.
