Demon School: Welcome! Iruma Kun Season 3 Episode 1 Review

The vacations are over and the students from the Babyls Demon School return to class for another exciting semester. Iruma knows that he can’t afford to stand out among his peers as he is the only human in the entire school of demons. However, after the students of the Misfit class managed to take down a magical beast that showed up at the amusement park, they become very popular, so it’s almost impossible for Iruma now to go anywhere without getting noticed. Iruma is walking to class when hundreds of people surround him, wanting to get a glimpse at the hero.

Iruma struggles with fame while he is not able to meet his peers. However, Iruma is shocked to discover that they enjoy all the attention they get. The Misfit class, now the Netherworld’s heroes, waves to a large crowd of people for their amusement. As the first day at the school begins, the students are informed that their lax attitude won’t be acceptable anymore. Students will be able to participate in Harvest, Music and other festivals, as well as a rank advancement test.

Normal classes will take part in the above semester events. However, Misfit students will be faced with a different challenge. Before they advance to the second year, all of them must achieve the Daleth rank- something that other students don’t achieve until graduation. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the students being removed from the Royal rank. The Misfit students are naturally shocked, as they know that it will be a difficult struggle to achieve the Daleth rank for first-year students.

The students are assigned to special tutors in order to prepare them for the difficult mission. Fire demon Sergeant Furfur will look after Jazz, Alocer, and water demon Vepar will train Picero and Goemon. Raim wants to make Elizabetta a charming demoness, while Clara will be trained by Mr. Hat. Balse watches over Iruma (and Lied) as they begin learning. While the tutors are taking the students to their training, Ameri recalls the time she spent with Iruma.

Ameri can’t help but blush when she thinks how memorable that day was for her at least. It was a wonderful day, and Iruma was also happy. Just when she is thinking about him, Ameri gets a text message from Iruma informing her that he won’t be able to make it to their reading session because of his commitments. Although she is obviously disappointed, she understands the importance of his training and recalls something similar in First Love Memories.

Balse entrusted Lied and Iruma to help them prepare to meet the challenges of the new term. It is not easy to achieve the Daleth rank, so they need to be ready for anything. However, on the first day of the training, the duo starts feeling that they are already well behind other students in their class because of their special tutors’ attitude toward their training.

Although Balse has done his homework and planned their lessons in advance, he informs them that he won’t be training them for now. Barbatos Bachiko, his cousin, takes responsibility for Lied and Iruma. She doesn’t seem to want to be there. They are five minutes late so she doesn’t mind scolding the girls.

Barbatos is violently and cruel, which contrasts with Balse. Sullivan asked her to help her with their training. This is why she only decided to do so. Her training methods are not conventional. In some cases, she makes Iruma do certain tasks for fun. The first day of their long training for the Daleth Rank doesn’t go as Lied and Iruma expected. It remains to be seen how they will handle the challenges they face.
