VantaSeed funding was raised by a Boston-based K-12 esports organisation, $2.5M.
Scout Ventures led the round. J Ventures Capital, Veteran Ventures Capital and Trajectory Capital participated. Blue Ventures, GTM Fund and Paul Lasiuk were also part of the round. Hart Family and Rifkin Family were also involved.
The company plans on using the funds to increase access to its K-12 leagues in the US and further develop their COPPA-compliant esports platform as well as their esports coaching offerings.
Vanta was co-founded by Patrick Cronin and James Roche. Zack Fabi and Ed Lallier also founded Vanta. This platform allows schools to participate in free leagues, as well as access coaching services from their thousands of esports coaches. There are two types of coaching services available: team-based coaching or a private option for one-on-1 sessions.
The company was launched in 2022, with no-competition leagues and several deals with national and state associations. These include becoming the official esports sponsors of the University Interscholastic League of Texas, Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and partnerships with the Association of Middle Level Educators.
