The UK version of Masked Dancer is a spin-off from the American series. Fox first aired the American show on 27/12/2020. The format of this show is similar to The Masked Singer.

The British series aired its debut in December 2021. It was quickly renewed for a second season. The show features 12 dancers competing against each other in a battleground of talented dancers. The show is made up of seven episodes. By the end, the winner will have been determined and unmasked.

To keep the show safe and secure for all participants, Bandicoot has established rules. The show’s creators are very concerned about the privacy of judges, hosts, and contestants and ensure that no one else knows their identity. Jonathan Ross, an actor, writer and film critic from England, hosts the show. The first season featured 12 contestants, and ran for seven episodes. The second season will feature 12 contestants, but with one more episode.

The Masked Singer UK - Meet The Cast

Joel Dommett is the host of the British show. He is also an actor and author. Jonathan Ross, an actor from the UK, is one of the panelists. He is also known for hosting the BBC One chat show called “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.” The show was released in the early 2000s. Ross also hosted a BBC Radio 2 radio show.

Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall are also on the panel. Davina McCollum is a British television host. Her previous role was that of Big Brother, another popular reality TV series. McCall has been the host of other shows like “Streetmate” and “The Million Pound Drop” as well.

Mo Gilligan, another panelist, brings out all the funniest parts of the show. The English stand-up comedian is familiar to the public eye because of hosting his show “The lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.”

Season 2 Review of The Masked Dancer UK

With 12 participants, the series debuted its second season on September 3, 2022. 6 of the 12 participants were introduced on stage with their stage names Candlestick and Scissors and Astronaut and Odd Socks and Prawn Cocktail. Pillar and Post was also included. Only three of them have won the first stage.

All other contestants, except for the winners Scissors and Odd Socks are at risk or out, Astronaut, the contestant, is out. Jesse Metcalfe, an American actor was therefore revealed to be the winner. Candlestick, Pillar and Post are still in this game, but are at great risk.

The next few episodes reveal that Pig is the Welsh actress Joanna Page. Prawn Cocktail is revealed as the journalist Stacey Dooley. Cactus is revealed to have been the English broadcaster Gareth Malone. Tomato Sauce is revealed as the journalist and presenter Stephanie McGill.

So far, the contestants include Onomatopoeia and Pearly King, Candlestick and Odd Socks. Pillar and Post and Scissors have also been included. The participants have danced to Demi Lovato and Olivia Rodrigo as well as Lady Gaga and Lady Gaga.

The Masked Dancer UK Season 2, Episode 6 Release Date

The Masked Dancer UK episode 6 of the second season will air on Saturday, October 8, 2022. It airs on ITV one week per week, on Saturdays. We saw Sea Slug (Pearly King), Onomatopoeia Scissors and Candlestick move to the safe area while Oddsocks was placed at risk.

Pillar and Post were both eliminated from the game after Tomato Sauce was removed. It was revealed that the duo were professional skaters Frankie Seaman (and David Seaman) who were eliminated after Frankie broke her ankle in rehearsal.
