ThalamosThe seed funding for a platform that digitizes the Mental Health Act was $1m by London-based company.
Backers included Ascension’s Conduit Impact EIS Fund, angels including Syndicate Room, and investors from a private Seedrs crowdfund. Hadley Diest, Investment Manager at Ascension, will join Thalamos’ board as an independent advisor.
The company plans to use the funds for expansion of their team and strengthening their product.
Thalamos was founded in 2018 by Ross Tomison and Arden Tomison. It provides digital versions of forms that are required to be used for admission, discharge, and treatment under the Mental Health Act. The company provides a simplified digital system that lowers the chance of errors and eliminates any unnecessary delays. This makes it possible for the most vulnerable patients access to life-saving mental healthcare treatment faster.
The company has already partnered with seven mental health providers. This gives over 40,000 practitioners access the digital tools they need to provide fast and effective care for patients in crisis.
