TextExpander Raises $41.4M in Funding

Summit Partners was the leader of the round.

The company intends to use the funds to support continued investment in R&D, hiring and customer acquisition, and will further accelerate its rapid growth.

J.D. TextExpander, led by J.D. Mullin is a productivity software developer for macOS, Windows and Chrome. The company’s productivity software is designed to automate content creation through user-defined keyboard shortcuts, or “snippets”, helping management teams to promote consistent and compliant communications. From small teams to enterprise-wide deployments, users leverage TextExpander across a variety of job functions and use cases – from customer support to recruiting to outbound sales – and counts many high-growth technology, healthcare and consumer companies among its customers. TextExpander can be used across multiple applications, including email, calendars, and popular software applications like Salesforce or Zendesk. The company currently has more than 100,000 monthly active customers (MAU), who have used 560 million expansions over the past year.

J.D. J.D. Matt Rissell, founder of TSheets and former CEO, has been appointed a board director.
