SymbrosiaHI-based startup Kailua Kona, HI, advancing a seaweed additive that reduces livestock methane emission, has raised $7M in Series B funding.
Danone Manifesto Ventures was the leader of the round. Participation came from Pacific6, HATCH Ventures Presidio Ventures Kamehameha schools and Mana Up.
The company plans to use the funds for scaling up production of its seaweed strains, and to bring their livestock feed additive SeaGraze to market with innovative brands.
Symbrosia, headed by Alexia Akbay as CEO, breeds and cultivates high-quality seaweed strains. SeaGraze is a natural seaweed additive that reduces the livestock methane emissions.
