Somalytics Closes Seed Funding

The round was led by IP Group with support from WRFCapital.

The company plans on using the funds to speed up their move into mass manufacturing, as well their ongoing research and development efforts and team expansion.

Somalytics, headed by Barbara Barclay (CEO), is a nanotechnology startup. It commercializes a patent-pending, carbon-nanotube-paper composite (CPC), capacitive sensor. This technology was developed by University of Washington researchers and CoMotion. Somalytics’ eye, gesture, touch and fluid monitoring sensors are miniature and highly sensitive to the human body.

This technology can be used in a variety of areas, such as eye tracking and consumer electronics, well-being monitoring, safety applications and the Internet of Things.
