SeatGeekThe Series E financing of $238 million has enabled, a NYC-based technology platform that provides live event experiences for fans, teams and venues, to raise $238 million.
With participation from Wellington Management and Arctos Sports Partners and Ryan Smith (founder and executive chairman of Qualtrics) and Smith Entertainment Group (SEG), which includes the Utah Jazz, Accel led the round. The business is valued at $1 billion pre-money. It comes after SeatGeek met all 2021 public financial forecasts.
The company plans to use the funds for investments in people, product and partners as well as in key areas like Rally, its personal event-day experience platform.
SeatGeek is co-founded by Jack Groetzinger, the CEO and cofounder. It combines a consumer marketplace and innovative primary ticketing box office technology. Access to several features is available for fans, including Deal Score, its ticket rating technology; Rally its event-day operation system; and SeatGeek Swaps which offers a return policy from a major ticketer. In parallel, the platform’s open-ecosystem enterprise ticketing software empowers teams, venues and promoters to grow their businesses while delivering the superior experience that all fans deserve.
SeatGeek partners with some of the most recognized names in sports and live entertainment across the globe including the Dallas Cowboys, Brooklyn Nets and Liverpool F.C., as well as Major League Soccer (MLS), National Football League (NFL), half of the English Premier League (EPL), and multiple theaters across NYC’s Broadway and London’s West End.
SeatGeek Swaps is the first major ticketing platform to offer a return policy; and its enterprise ticketing software, which supports the entire ticketing industry by providing an end-to–end solution for venues and teams.
