Retool Raises $45M in Series C2 Funding; Valued at $3.2B

RetoolThe Series C2 funding for a San Francisco-based company that provides an application development platform for internal applications was $45M.

The round, which valued company at Sequoia Capital, John Collison, Nat Friedman and Elad Gil led $3.2 billion.

Retool is led by David Hsu as CEO. It allows users to build tools internally, design apps that interface with any API or data source, and then switch to code virtually anywhere to change the way apps look and work. Retool also announced major changes to its free plan that allows up to five developers to create unlimited apps. With this new free plan, startups, small teams, and solo developers can build unlimited apps using Retool’s 90+ pre-built components, 40+ data and API connections, and Retool’s app hosting service.

Today, thousands collaborate around Retool apps to solve internal workflows. The company is also building employee hubs in New York City (London), and Seattle.
