Mojia Biotech Completes $80M Series B Financing

Mojia BiotechThe Series B funding for a bio-manufacturing firm based in Shanghai, China, was $80M.

Temasek led the round with participation from LYZZ Capital and Sento Investment. Bits x Bites and Asia Green Fund also participated.

The company intends to use the funds to commercialize its Viridimin™ brand of animal-feed additives, scale up manufacturing capacity for Aliphane™ series of bio-based materials, advance its product pipeline and expand its global R&D capabilities.  

Mojia Biotech, headed by Ansen Chyew is a product-oriented bio-manufacturing firm that produces chemical materials and food ingredients using renewable carbon resources and green processes. In the past few years, the company has developed innovative pathways to produce Viridimin™ brand of Vitamin B5. Aliphane is Mojia Biotech’s second product. a range of biopolymer products that are extremely versatile and have great potential for adhesive and coating applications.
