Ledger Investing Raises $75M in Series B Funding

Ledger InvestingNew York-based InsurTech startup,, has raised $75M in Series A funding.

The round was led by WestCap, with participation from Teachers’ Venture Growth, Intact Ventures, SignalFire, MassMutual Ventures, Allegis Capital, and Accel.

The company plans to use the funds for revenue growth in its insurance-linked securities (ILS) brokerage, asset management, and launch of data infrastructure services products. It also intends to hire more than 200 people.

Ledger Investing is an insurtech startup that provides a platform to connect capital and insurance risk. Ledger Investing has enabled insurance carriers and Managing General Agents (MGAs), to leverage the marketplace for multiyear underwriting capacity, and access to alternative capital. Ledger Investing has enabled institutional investors to achieve attractive and diversifying, risk-adjusted yields through its ILS fund, Nanorock, and from direct investments in brokered securitizations.

Ledger will soon be able to serve all types of insurance capital and risks. This includes traditional reinsurers as well as institutional investors, wealth managers and accredited retail investors. Ledger Connect, the unified data pipeline that powers the marketplace, will provide real-time insights and rich analytics to investors as well as risk originators. This will establish the new market standard.
