Warren Jeffs is now where?

Warren Jeffs was convicted of two counts of child sexual assault in 2011. Jeffs was already serving time in jail for complicit to rape. Jeffs was convicted in 2007 for this crime after he spent a year on FBI’s most wanted list. Jeffs is currently incarcerated at Louis C. Powledge Unit, Palestine, Texas. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison and life imprisonment in 2011. He will not be eligible to apply for parole until July 20,38.

Jeffs attempted suicide in jail in 2007. He has also been on long hunger strikes. In 2009, a judge ordered that he was force-fed. After fasting for a prolonged period, he was put in an induced sleep coma. His own attorneys stated in 2019 that Jeffs had suffered a mental breakdown and was unable to give admissible testimony at a second deposition regarding suspected child abuse.

What happened with the FLDS?

The FLDS is still in operation. According to one 2018 documentary, Warren Jeffs is allowed visits from his family in jail and continues to run the cult. Warren Jeffs is still regarded by many members as their prophet, and they feel he was wrongfully convicted. According to statistics, the church membership ranges from 6000 to 10,000. Some members believe that members need to spend time praying for Jeffs’ release.

Where is the FLDS now based?

The docu-series will remind you that the FLDS headquarters was first located in Arizona near Short Creek. Since the capture of the YFZ Ranch, Pringle, South Dakota, Mancos (Colorado), Minot (North Dakota), and Grand Marais (Minnesota) were all captured, newer church villages were created.
