Grata, a New York-based private company firm that provides intelligence engines, has secured $25 million in Series A financing.

The deal brought the total investment to $35 million and was directed by Craft Ventures with participation from Teamworthy Ventures, Altai Ventures, Eigen Ventures, Bling, Accomplice, and Touchdown Ventures, and also the current and former M&A executives.

The company plans to use the funds to increase its business spread.

The company was founded by its Grata’s CEO, Andrew Bocskocsky, and COO Nevin Raj; It provides comprehensive coverage of private firms, providing details and detailed contextual information on the operations of millions of businesses.

Its product includes the power of a web-based data acquisition system that analyzes billions of websites with its own machine-learning (ML) as well as natural language processing (NLP) models that effortlessly process unstructured data to provide nuanced, relevant insights regarding private businesses.
