Based on the manga series of the same name, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai is one of the longest-running anime in Japan’s history. From October 1989 through December 1996, the manga was published in 37 volumes. The manga was inspired by Dragon Quest’s legendary game series.
Once upon a time, there was a strong and powerful person who was simply known as “the hero”. The hero was able to defeat the demon by teaming up with his companion. Since then, time has passed.
Dai, the protagonist, is a resident of an isolated island and has the ambition to become a great leader. As the news of the demon’s revival gets to him, Dai, joined by his friends, vows to stop the demon and those who worked to revive the demon. He discovers new truths about his situation and himself as he embarks upon a journey to end all evil.

Dragon Quest Episode 95: The Adventure of Dai Recap
The most recent and 95Th episode of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai was one of the show’s best-ever episodes for multiple reasons. The episode’s action scenes, in which our hero Dai faced off against the Great Demonking Vearn, were simply breathtaking. The story is also worthy of credit for keeping viewers on edge of their seats.

There was an underlying sense of doom throughout the episode. This made watching the episodes all the more exciting and riveting.
Episodes focus only on the battle between Dai, Demon King Vearn and Popp. With the help of his companion Popp, Dai managed to counter the Demon King’s every attack. Dai was even able to surprise Vearn when he Dai used his special move Avan Strash Cross to slash off Vearn’s left hand.
Dai continued to fight Vearn, despite all his strength and possibly even his life. It gave his companions a momentary hope for the future. However, Vearn then revealed his master plan to Dai. This made everyone feel utterly helpless, even Dai.
Vearn stated that even if Dai were to kill Vearn, it would not be possible for him to save the world. The end of the world was certain. Vearn revealed that the reason he was fighting Dai and the other heroes wasn’t to stop them, but just to stall them for time.
The true purpose of the five strategically placed pillars he had strategically placed around the globe was revealed by him. The Black Core was capable of wiping out all and any other objects around it. It was contained in five pillars.

But that wasn’t all! As he further explains, there’s one more pillar of Vearn. As the sixth pillar fell on the world, Dai and his companions watched in dismay as it killed his friends.
Vearn reveals that the six pillars placed strategically across the land become the points of a hexagonal Magic Circle, which will further increase the destructive power of the giant Black Core, and Vearn’s plan of wiping out the surface world will be accomplished.
Dai became more agitated and vowed to stop Vearn detonating the Pillars. The Demon King replied with something that further exacerbated his despair. The pillars are time bombs and will detonate in 10 minutes, he explained. Our hero Dai collapsed to the ground in despair at the impossible task of stopping them. He felt like he had lost all.

The 96th episode of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, titled “Like a Bright Flash” is scheduled to be aired on Saturday, 24th September 2022, at 9:30 AM JST. The current season will contain 100 episodes.
