Chihayafuru Manga ends after its incredible run of 15 years in the September issue of Kodansha’s Be Love magazine. It is a remarkable fleet. This slice-of life and sports-genre manga series has been around for almost a decade and has nearly 250 chapters. 49 volumes. The series continues to receive awards and its popularity continues. It is undoubtedly one of the most beloved series. This is because the series is a combination of a love story and a loving culture in Japanese sports.
While the end of Chihayafur wasn’t surprising, it was a fitting ending to an extraordinary run that fans wanted to last much longer. The fans are pleased with the series’ end, and a well-told story of achieving one’s own dream is certainly something that has taught the audiences and the readers of the series a lot besides teaching them about Karuta, a Japanese Playing Card game. About Chihayafuru Manga
Yuki Suetsugu was the illustrator and writer of the Japanese Josei Manga Chihayafuru. The manga began its serialization in December 2007 in Kodansha’s Be Love magazine after almost 15 years of run, the Chihayafuru Manga came to an end in 2022. The series has received awards like Manga Taishō and the Kodansha Manga Award and has constantly charted in other manga awards charts. The total number of copies in circulation is currently 27,000,000, which is an impressive figure considering the target audience of teenage females.
There are 247 chapters to the series. As of this writing, there have been 49 volumes. The 50th volume is expected to be released in December 2022. Moreover, with the series’ popularity, it also received an anime adaptation with a total of 3 seasons as of now and a 4th, which won’t be the last rumor to be in the works. The anime’s original season aired from October 2011 through March 2012, while the second season aired January through June 2013.
The third season of the anime aired in six years, from October 2019 to March 2020. To commemorate the end of the series’ final volume, we will soon receive information about the fourth season in December 2022. The scenes were also adapted into live-action films that were released between 2016 and 2018. The writer first noticed that the manga was supposed to end with 49 volumes, but it was later revealed that the manga would end with 50 volumes, with the 247th chapter being the last and releasing in the September issue of Kodansha’s Be Love magazine.
Chihayafuru Manga Ending
The author of the series was the one who took to Twitter to announce the end of Chihayafuru’s story on June 28. In her note, she said that the 246th chapter is going to be the second last chapter of the series released in July, published in the August issue of Kodansha’s Be Love magazine. Whereas, the final chapter of the series was published in the September issue of Kodansha’s Be Love magazine which was released on the 1st of August. This means that the last chapter of Chihayafuru Manga is now available and that the series has ended after 15 years.
