Synopsis of Bittersweet Drama

The book Bittersweet Life, which tells the story Hayat’s life as a history teacher at a highly regarded private school, is published by Hayat Bazen Tatlidir. Her job provides the financial means for her younger sister, Gözde, to enroll in school. Hayat gets a call from Gozde stating that her younger sister is at risk during a party. Hayat arrives at the address in time to save her unconscious sister. Hayat’s job is threatened by the boy’s wealthy brother when she confronts them about the incident. Hayat takes a new job in a public school. She must fight corruption and fight for her kids’ education. Hayat navigates the school’s money-hungry management with her cunning and wit. Both sisters win the respect and affection of the pupils.
