Netflix has released the 1899 teaser and it needs to be explained. A group of immigrants will be featured on the show. This Netflix series will feature them travelling from London to New York. It will be filled with the same mystery and horror genres that we saw on Dark, the previous Netflix show.
1899 was created by the same directors that worked on Dark. We can already see the fans rooting even after just one season. Jantje Friese and Baran Bo Odar worked together on the creation of the series. It will be available in many languages. The creators have not yet confirmed a release date, but they say that the new episodes will be released this year.
As we witness these immigrants travelling to New York, they will soon find themselves in the middle a very stupid but potentially life-threatening prank. This will happen after another ship sails alongside theirs on open sea. The mystery drama will launch on Netflix and fans can watch it immediately. Let’s go back to the Netflix teaser. We will now see how the future looks and what happens.

1899 Teaser Breakdown on Netflix
The video begins with a very intense background sound, as someone places a stone on the table. We then see the ship that the immigrants boarded to flee the country. The camera then focuses upon a beautiful woman looking into the mirror, introducing herself as Maura. The date is then read out by her, claiming it to be the 1st of October 1899. Clips soon show her dressed up for the day. However, one clip, which fans might notice, shows a woman being strangled.
Later, the narrative moves over many people who are present on the vessel’s common area as a character asking why. Soon, Maura returns to the video for voiceover and states that everyone on that ship wants to forget their past. As she narrates this statement, we can see that the focus shifts from one character to another on the ship. We also get small clips that give us a glimpse into their past.
Maura says that they all want to flee because who else would want to move? The teaser and creepy voiceover provided by Maura confirm that there will be a lot more drama and mystery to the show. This ship has a lot of people, and the dining room is very similar to Titanic. This historical drama will also shed light on the traumas and other occurrences that occurred at sea, which are difficult to understand.
What happens to the people aboard?
The teaser now shifts to some other characters’ narration as they talk about how people are oblivious to reality. The clip then shows some people standing at the edge of a ship and looking into the water. It will be even more thrilling to see the characters of different ethnicities and race in this show.
The voiceover mystery man returns, his voice sounding scared as he speaks about how people can see what they want to see. He states that to truly understand the situation, people need to change their perspective. These clips also reveal some of the mysteries and crimes expected to take place aboard the ship. The final clip from the 1899 teaser shows the ship walking into a swirling sea.
